The game does use permadeath though and this can make things frustrating. There is a great amount of variety and all of this content can keep you playing until you have hours left on the clock and the online leaderboards actually persuade you to play the mode for as long as you possibly can. You can try your hand at liberating a smaller outpost, complete a Karma event, do a small assassination or hostage rescue quest or even just find some collectibles like propaganda and mani wheels. As Pagan explains, every activity you partake in will net you with bonuses like better weapons, skill points and of course sizeable amounts of more time. Speaking of 2 hours, you can stretch the gameplay out to that time. You even have to recraft all of your pouch upgrades! This actually suits the DLC though and building up Ajay in less than 2 hours is a rewarding yet frantic experience. The thing is, you start with no weapons, no skills and only your wingsuit, grappling hook and machete to help. As you get up he tells you that you are stuck in the area of Durghesh and that a Golden Path extraction team will be at a specific spot in the place within half an hour. You play as Ajay Ghale once again, waking up in a bell tower as the voice of Pagan Min rings in your ears. However, not all of these mechanics work to the advantage of the add on and that's before you see the ridiculous price that it's going for out of the pass. It uses permadeath, a time limit and reset progression to make it the most challenging Far Cry experience in the series' history. While there is still the obligatory pack that includes all of the pre-order bonuses (though that Hurk Deluxe pack is surprisingly awesome), there is a multiplayer centric add on, an exclusive day one mission, a new campaign and then this- the Escape from Durghesh Prison mode. Thing is, Ubisoft are taking a rather unique approach to it. Far Cry 4 has a season pass, pretty much like every single big game these days.
